The Airbus H160 is a medium utility helicopter developed as a next-generation platform to replace older models in Airbus’s lineup. First flown in 2015, production began in 2020 and continues currently. The H160 introduces innovative technologies such as the Blue Edge rotor blades, which reduce noise and improve aerodynamic efficiency, and a full glass cockpit featuring the Helionix avionics suite for enhanced flight safety and pilot workload management.
Powered by two Safran Arrano 1A engines, the H160 delivers a maximum cruise speed of 150 knots and a range of 475 nautical miles. Its maximum takeoff weight is 8,850 kilograms (19,513 pounds), allowing it to perform diverse missions including offshore transport, search and rescue, and VIP transportation.
The cabin volume totals 276 cubic feet, designed to accommodate up to 12 passengers in a flexible configuration tailored to business or utility needs. The aircraft's combination of advanced aerodynamics, efficient engines, and a spacious cabin makes it a competitive choice in the medium helicopter segment.
