History The Dash 8-300 is a 50-passenger regional turboprop. In 1985, De Havilland initiated the stretch version of the -100 to accommodate up to 50 passengers in airliner configuration. They also increased the size of the galley and lavatory in comparison to earlier models. Two Pratt & Whitney PW 123B engines power the Dash 8-300. The Dash 8-300 offers a large stand-up cabin with the Dash 8's payload and range flexibility.
