The Bombardier Global 6500 is a long-range business jet introduced as part of Bombardier’s ongoing evolution of the Global platform. It is an upgraded variant of the Global 6000, offering improved performance, cabin refinements, and enhanced operating efficiency. Announced in 2018 alongside the Global 5500, the Global 6500 entered service in 2019 and is positioned between the Global 6000 and the ultra-long-range Global 7500.
A key advancement in the Global 6500 is its pair of Rolls-Royce Pearl 15 engines, which deliver greater thrust and fuel efficiency compared to the BR710 engines on the Global 6000. The aircraft also features a redesigned wing with improved aerodynamics, allowing for a maximum range of 6,600 nautical miles and a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90. Maximum takeoff weight is 99,500 pounds, and the takeoff distance is approximately 5,540 feet.
The cabin offers a spacious and customizable layout for up to 17 passengers in typical business configurations. Total cabin volume measures 1,720 cubic feet, with a cabin length of 43 feet, width of 7 feet 11 inches, and height of 6 feet 2 inches. Bombardier’s signature Nuage seating, advanced cabin management systems, and improved thermal and acoustic insulation are included as standard.
The Global 6500 delivers long-range mission flexibility with premium in-flight comfort, making it a strategic option for operators seeking a modern, high-performance aircraft without stepping into the ultra-long-range class.
