The Dassault Falcon 2000EX is an advanced derivative of the original Falcon 2000, introduced to enhance range and performance while maintaining the large-cabin comfort that defines the Falcon family. Building on the success of the Falcon 2000, which first flew in 1993 and entered service in 1995, Dassault launched the 2000EX in 2003 as a major upgrade featuring new engines and avionics. Production of the 2000EX continued until 2004, after which Dassault transitioned to the EASy and LX variants.
The 2000EX is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308C turbofan engines, each delivering 7,000 pounds of thrust. These engines, combined with increased fuel capacity, extended the aircraft’s range to approximately 3,878 nautical miles (4,045 nm maximum) and enabled a high-speed cruise of 482 knots. The aircraft’s maximum takeoff weight is 42,200 lbs, and it requires about 5,585 ft of runway for takeoff at sea level. Certified to a service ceiling of 47,000 ft, the 2000EX offers intercontinental capability, making nonstop flights such as New York–Los Angeles or London–Dubai routine.
The cabin measures 26 ft 2 in in length, 7 ft 8 in in width, and 6 ft 2 in in height, providing a volume of roughly 1,028 cu ft. Typical executive layouts accommodate 8 to 12 passengers, with some configurations seating up to 19, though rarely used in business operations. The baggage compartment offers 131 cu ft of space. Interior design emphasizes quiet operation and ergonomic comfort, with options for lie-flat seating and multiple cabin zones.
For operators, the Falcon 2000EX delivers a compelling balance of range, fuel efficiency, and cabin comfort. Its advanced avionics suite (Collins Pro Line 4) and digital diagnostic systems reduce downtime and simplify maintenance, reinforcing its reputation as a reliable, cost-effective solution for corporate flight departments and charter operators seeking global reach.
