The Dassault Falcon 2000LX is a super midsize business jet introduced in 2009 as an advanced evolution of the Falcon 2000EX. Building on the proven Falcon 2000 platform, the LX variant incorporated blended winglets from Aviation Partners, which extended its range and improved fuel efficiency. This model retained the widebody cabin cross-section of larger Falcons, offering exceptional comfort in a more compact airframe.
Production of the Falcon 2000LX began in 2009 and concluded in 2012, after which it was succeeded by the Falcon 2000LXS. The LX was powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308C engines, each delivering 7,000 pounds of thrust, enabling a maximum cruise speed of 482 knots and a service ceiling of 47,000 feet.
The aircraft boasts a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles, allowing nonstop transatlantic missions such as New York to Rome. It requires a takeoff distance of approximately 4,675 feet and a landing distance of 2,400 feet, making it capable of operating from shorter runways than many jets in its class. The maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) is 42,800 pounds.
Inside, the Falcon 2000LX features a spacious cabin measuring 26 ft 2 in long, 7 ft 8 in wide, and 6 ft 2 in high, with a total cabin volume of 1,028 cubic feet. The layout typically accommodates up to 10 business passengers, with configurations including individual seats and a conference/dining area. Advanced cabin systems such as FalconCabin HD+ and high-speed connectivity options enhance productivity and comfort.
Operators value the Falcon 2000LX for its blend of performance, efficiency, and luxury, making it a preferred choice for transcontinental and international business travel. Its aerodynamic enhancements and robust systems continue to support high-utilization missions across corporate and charter fleets.
