The Dassault Falcon 8X is the flagship of Dassault Aviation’s business jet lineup, offering long-range capability, advanced aerodynamics, and one of the most flexible cabins in its class. Introduced as an evolutionary successor to the Falcon 7X, the 8X features increased range, a longer fuselage, and refined performance. The aircraft completed its first flight on February 6, 2015, with production starting the same year. It entered service in 2016 and remains in active production.
The Falcon 8X is powered by three Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307D turbofan engines, each delivering 6,722 pounds of thrust. These engines, paired with aerodynamic enhancements to the wing and improved systems, give the aircraft a maximum range of 6,450 nautical miles at Mach 0.80 and a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90 (approximately 515 knots). The aircraft has a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 73,000 pounds and a balanced field length of about 5,910 feet.
The cabin of the Falcon 8X offers exceptional flexibility with more than 30 possible layouts and a total cabin volume of approximately 1,695 cubic feet. It can accommodate 12 to 16 passengers in a typical business configuration, arranged across three distinct lounge zones. Cabin dimensions include a height of 6.2 feet, width of 7.7 feet, and a length of 42.6 feet. The 8X features Dassault’s signature low cabin altitude, advanced soundproofing, and state-of-the-art environmental systems to support passenger comfort on ultra-long-range missions.
Designed for global travel, the Falcon 8X delivers the performance and operating flexibility expected of a tri-jet aircraft, including superior airport access and fuel efficiency. It continues to be a top-tier choice for international operators seeking high capability with a tailored cabin experience.
