The Dassault Falcon 900LX is a long-range, large-cabin business jet that represents the latest evolution of the Falcon 900 series, a lineage that began with the original Falcon 900 in 1984. Building on the Falcon 900EX and 900EX EASy platforms, the 900LX was launched in 2008 and certified by EASA and FAA in July 2010. It introduced blended winglets, improved avionics, and enhanced fuel efficiency, extending range and reducing operating costs.
The 900LX retains the tri-jet configuration with three Honeywell TFE731-60 engines, each delivering 5,000 lbf of thrust. This setup provides superior climb performance and added safety for long-range overwater operations. The aircraft reaches FL390 in just 20 minutes and cruises at Mach 0.84, with a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.87. It offers a range of 4,750 nautical miles and a service ceiling of 51,000 feet. The maximum takeoff weight is 49,000 lbs, with a takeoff distance of 5,360 feet and a landing distance of 2,415 feet.
The cabin spans 33 ft 2 in in length, 7 ft 8 in in width, and 6 ft 2 in in height, totaling 1,270 cubic feet. It typically seats 12 to 14 business passengers across three distinct lounge zones. Layouts include club seating, dining areas, and berthable divans. The cabin features 24 windows, advanced acoustic insulation, mood lighting, and FalconConnect high-speed internet. The EASy II flight deck integrates FalconEye, Dassault’s Combined Vision System, enhancing situational awareness and approach capabilities.
Operators value the Falcon 900LX for its versatility, reliability, and ability to access short runways and high-altitude airports. With over 500 Falcon 900-series aircraft in service, the 900LX remains a preferred choice for corporate and charter missions requiring long-range performance and spacious comfort.
