The Embraer Phenom 300E is the enhanced evolution of the Phenom 300, a best-selling light jet platform introduced by Embraer in 2009. The “E” designation, launched in 2018, represents “Enhanced,” featuring upgraded avionics, improved cabin ergonomics, and refined interior design compared to the original variant. This upgrade retains the Phenom family’s hallmark short-field performance and low operating costs while improving passenger comfort and cockpit capabilities.
First flight of the base Phenom 300 occurred in April 2008, with deliveries starting in 2009. The 300E entered production in 2018 and remains in active manufacture as of 2025. Key updates included a new BMW Designworks-inspired interior, more effective sound insulation, and the Prodigy Touch avionics suite based on Garmin G3000 technology.
The aircraft is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535E turbofan engines, each producing 3,360 pounds of thrust. With this configuration, the Phenom 300E achieves a maximum cruise speed of 464 knots, a range of approximately 2,010 nautical miles, and an MTOW of 18,387 pounds. Takeoff distance is 3,643 feet under standard conditions. The pressurized cabin offers 324 cubic feet of volume, seating up to nine passengers in a typical business layout, with a flat floor, large windows, and a private lavatory.
As a category, the Phenom 300E is a light jet, competing with models such as the Cessna Citation CJ4 and Pilatus PC-24. Operators value its combination of range, speed, and efficient operating economics, making it one of the most capable light jets for regional and short transcontinental missions.
