Grumman built the Mallard from 1947 to 1951. Fifty-nine of the 10-place, twin-engine amphibians were built. Two 600 hp Pratt & Whitney radial engines power the aircraft. Prior to purchase, as with all amphibious aircraft and seaplanes, a thorough corrosion inspection needs to be performed. The Mallard is part of Grumman’s famous family of amphibious airplanes that also include the Albatross, Widgeon, and Goose.
