The Gulfstream G650 is an ultra-long-range, large-cabin business jet, developed by Gulfstream Aerospace as a significant evolution of the Gulfstream V. First flown in 2008, production commenced the same year and continues today, establishing the G650 as Gulfstream’s flagship in speed, range, and cabin comfort.
The G650 is powered by two Rolls-Royce BR725 A1-12 turbofan engines, each producing 16,900 pounds of thrust, enabling a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 99,600 pounds. The aircraft reaches a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.925 and offers an intercontinental range of approximately 7,000 nautical miles. It features a swept-wing design, enhanced high-speed aerodynamics, and a fully integrated avionics suite with advanced navigation, autopilot, and flight management systems.
The cabin accommodates up to 19 passengers in a business configuration, providing a flat-floor, quiet, and spacious environment. Interior enhancements include large oval windows, advanced climate control, and customizable seating arrangements tailored to corporate, VIP, and long-haul missions.
Engineering improvements over the Gulfstream V include an extended fuselage, increased wing area with optimized sweep, strengthened landing gear, and updated flight deck systems. These modifications deliver superior speed, range, and operational efficiency, positioning the G650 at the forefront of ultra-long-range business aviation. Operators value the aircraft for transcontinental and intercontinental operations where speed, passenger comfort, and mission flexibility are critical.
