The Gulfstream G700 is the flagship of Gulfstream Aerospace’s ultra-long-range business jet family, representing a significant leap forward from its predecessor, the G650ER. Officially unveiled in October 2019, the G700 had its first flight in February 2020, with production beginning in 2021 and deliveries commencing in 2024.
The G700 introduces a new, stretched fuselage, incorporating design advancements from both the G650 platform and the technology developed for the smaller G500/G600 series. Key airframe improvements include new carbon-composite winglets, enhanced structural efficiency, and refined aerodynamics. The aircraft is powered by two Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, each delivering 18,250 pounds of thrust, improving both range and fuel efficiency.
With a maximum range of 7,850 nautical miles at Mach 0.85 and a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.925, the G700 sets a new benchmark in ultra-long-range travel. The maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) is approximately 107,600 pounds, and the aircraft is capable of operating from shorter runways than earlier Gulfstream long-range models due to improved takeoff performance.
The cabin—the longest in the business aviation segment—offers up to five living zones plus a dedicated crew rest area. The total cabin volume is approximately 2,603 cubic feet, designed with a flat floor, ultra-low cabin altitude (4,850 ft at FL510), circadian lighting, and 20 panoramic windows. The standard seating capacity is up to 19 passengers, with sleeping arrangements for up to 13.
The G700 is positioned as a top-tier executive transport solution, appealing to government heads, corporate executives, and private owners seeking long-haul capability, modern connectivity, and bespoke cabin options in a single platform.
