The HondaJet Elite II is the most advanced evolution of the HondaJet platform, introduced in late 2021 as the next-generation version of the original HA-420. Building on the performance and efficiency foundations of the Elite and Elite S variants, the Elite II integrates flight deck automation, range improvements, and cabin refinements, positioning it as a leading choice in the very light jet (VLJ) category.
The aircraft is powered by two GE Honda HF120 turbofan engines, each producing 2,050 pounds of thrust, mounted in Honda’s signature Over-The-Wing Engine Mount (OTWEM) configuration. This design minimizes cabin noise, increases fuel efficiency, and maximizes cabin and baggage space. The Elite II delivers a maximum cruise speed of 422 knots and an extended maximum range of 1,547 nautical miles, making it capable of nonstop trips between major city pairs such as New York and Miami or Los Angeles and Denver.
The takeoff distance is approximately 3,699 feet, with a maximum takeoff weight of 11,100 pounds, enabling efficient operations from smaller regional airports. The Elite II also introduces Garmin G3000-based Advanced Autothrottle and Emergency Autoland capability, significantly enhancing safety and reducing pilot workload.
The cabin is configured for up to five passengers in a club arrangement, with an optional side-facing sixth seat or lavatory seat. The interior includes enhanced soundproofing, bespoke materials, and a flat floor for improved ergonomics. Upgraded cabin management and mood lighting systems further elevate the in-flight experience.
By combining aerodynamic efficiency, modern avionics, and advanced safety systems, the HondaJet Elite II continues to redefine expectations in the light jet segment for both private owners and charter operators.
