The PAC-750 XSTOL is a conventional utility aircraft with all metal, low wing monoplane construction with a stationary tricycle unercarrriage. With the combination of the engine and wings the PAC Cresco has a new large fuselage with a modified tail and powered by a 750 hp Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 turboprop engine. The PAC-750 XSTOL was designed and manufactured in Hamilton, New Zealand under Pacific Aerospace Limited.
It was targeted originally to the more narrow market of the skydiving industry. A wider market was sought after and in the expansion of the market base models have been sold for utilization in utility roles, freight, aggricultural application, passenger operations, aerial photograhpy and surveying. This design made its first flight in 2001, the PAC 750 received full FAA certification in 2004.
