The Cheyenne 400 LS is the largest and fastest of the Cheyenne family of twin turboprops, whose origins date back to the Piper PA31 in 1966. Certificated in 1984, 44 of this model were produced through 1992. The aircraft has excellent takeoff performance and high cruise speeds for its class. It shares the same cabin as the Cheyenne III series and typically seats six passengers in the cabin, with room for an aft lavatory. Two 1,000 shp TPE 331-14 engines power the Cheyenne 400 LS. Externally, the 400 LS is distinguished from the I/II by its tall, T-tail.
