History The Cheyenne I and II series are essentially turboprop versions of the popular PA31 Navajo. The Cheyenne IIXL is a Cheyenne II with a 2-foot fuselage stretch and 620 shp PT6A-135 engines. Produced from 1981 to 1986, 84 of the “stretch” Cheyenne IIXLs were produced. The extra 2 feet in the cabin gave the six typical passengers more leg room along with the aft lavatory.
