The Gulfstream 300 was introduced In 2002, as part of Gulfstream’s product line transformation. Technically speaking, the G300 and G400 are both G IVSPs. The G300 only comes with certain standardized cabin and avionics options, plus it has a fuel load of 26,900 pounds, which is 3,000 less than a G IVSP or G400. Gulfstream refers to the G300 as “the new GIII” while some members of the aviation press used the “G400 lite” moniker. The G300 and 400 share the same airframe structure parts and labor warranty.
The G300 production run was initiated just after the 500th G IV model was produced and ceased in 2004, when it was superseded by the G350.
